Shine Bright! – Being the Light in a Dark World

Theme Verses:
“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.” — Matthew 5:14

“Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God… then you will shine among them like stars in the sky.” — Philippians 2:14–15

What Does It Mean to Shine?
Being the light means showing God’s love, even when the world feels dark or unkind.

Imagine walking into a dark room and flipping on a flashlight. Suddenly, you can see where to go—and others can follow your light too! That’s what it’s like when we choose kindness, truth, and love in a world that sometimes feels confusing or unfair.

Jesus is the brightest light of all—and when we follow Him, His light shines through us. Every time you help someone, speak kindly, or stand up for what’s right, you’re lighting up the world around you. Even small lights can make a big difference in the dark!

You don’t have to be perfect. You just have to be willing. God loves using kids like you to bring hope, joy, and truth to others. So let’s shine like stars, even when it’s hard—because Jesus is our light, and He never burns out.

✨ What’s one way you can shine for Jesus today?

Prayer:
Dear Jesus, thank You for being the light that never goes out. Help me to shine bright for You, even when things feel dark or scary. Show me how to love others and be brave. Amen.
